Living in Long Branch means living by the ocean, and a lot of Long Branch dogs would happily spend every day at the beach. The reality is a workday, a dog at home, and seasonal rules about where dogs can go. Top Dog Pet Care offers dependable weekday walks in Long Branch from a local, insured walker based nearby in Eatontown. We’ve been caring for Monmouth County dogs for ten years.
Why weekly walks matter in a shore town
In summer, Long Branch gets crowded, sidewalks heat up, and the beaches are off limits to dogs. In winter, the days are short and the wind off the water is raw. Either way, a regular weekday walk keeps your dog active and on a schedule they can count on. You choose the days, and we come at roughly the same time each week, all year round.
On hot days we keep to shadier streets, check the pavement, and adjust the pace for older or flat-faced breeds. In winter, we can wipe paws after salted sidewalks.

Long Branch beach and park rules for dogs
We follow the local rules on every walk, and they’re useful for any Long Branch dog owner to know:
- Long Branch city beaches: leashed dogs are allowed from October 1 to April 30, on the municipal beaches between Seaview Avenue and Brighton Avenue. Dogs are not allowed on any beach from May 1 to September 30.
- The boardwalk and promenade: no dogs at any time of year.
- Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park (a Monmouth County park on Ocean Avenue): no dogs from April 1 to October 31. From November through March, leashed dogs are welcome, but they’re still kept off the boardwalks, dunes, playground, and pavilion all year.
Some walks for clients who live close to the ocean can include a stretch of beach during the cooler months.
